What does the word Kunihira mean?

Kunihira is the Rutooro word for “Hope”.

What is Kunihira?
Kunihira is a holistic Ugandan-based non-profit organisation devoted to equipping and empowering the disadvantaged children by assisting them in their growth and development, through support for formal education, mentorship, and training for practical skills.

How did Kunihira begin?
In early 2016 God spoke to Joseph: “I provided for your education, would you do the same to my children?” At first he took it lightly, until he kept having dreams. He strongly believes God placed this burden on his heart to reach out to children who have lost hope concerning education.Through Kunihira, these children receive the
message of Jesus Christ and His salvation, a spiritual awakening, an excellent
education.

How does Kunihira care for children?
Kunihira equips and empowers the disadvantaged children by assisting them in their growth and development, through your supports for formal education, mentorship, and training for practical skill.

Can I visit Watoto?
Yes. Each year many people travel to Uganda to build, schools and
clinics at Kunihira villaege.  It is simple to organise your
own trip, and a visit to Uganda is an exciting opportunity for people of all
ages.  You do not need to have any building experience, as you will be
working alongside a professional crew of Ugandan builders. To find out more
